Cependant, nombre d\u2019entre eux demeurent ignor\u00e9s ou sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s dans les d\u00e9bats mondiaux sur l\u2019IA et le climat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Dans le cadre de notre initiative \u00ab\u2009IA pour l\u2019action climatique (IA for Climate Action)\u2009\u00bb, qui explore la mani\u00e8re dont les technologies d\u2019IA peuvent \u00eatre repens\u00e9es et r\u00e9orient\u00e9es en mettant l\u2019accent sur des mod\u00e8les d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s localement et centr\u00e9s sur les communaut\u00e9s dans les contextes du Monde majoritaire, nous m\u00e8nerons des recherches pour \u00e9tudier l\u2019adoption de l\u2019IA dans le contexte de l\u2019action climatique. Au cours des deux prochains mois, nous recenserons douze \u00e9tudes de cas portant sur des outils d\u2019IA d\u00e9velopp\u00e9s, adapt\u00e9s ou pilot\u00e9s par des organisations \u00e0 but non lucratif, des sp\u00e9cialistes de la recherche \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle locale, des coop\u00e9ratives de base et d\u2019autres parties prenantes non \u00e9tatiques ou communautaires afin de relever les d\u00e9fis climatiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recenser l\u2019IA pour l\u2019action climatique dans les pays de la majorit\u00e9 mondiale<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Notre approche pour identifier et s\u00e9lectionner ces \u00e9tudes de cas s\u2019inscrit dans une perspective de justice climatique. En recensant ces cas, nous cherchons \u00e0 comprendre et \u00e0 mettre en lumi\u00e8re la mani\u00e8re dont les communaut\u00e9s les plus touch\u00e9es par le changement climatique sont en premi\u00e8re ligne de l\u2019innovation, en exer\u00e7ant leur pouvoir d\u2019action et en d\u00e9veloppant des r\u00e9ponses concr\u00e8tes et adapt\u00e9es aux contextes locaux, dans des situations d\u2019injustice. Nous nous int\u00e9ressons tout particuli\u00e8rement aux cas d\u2019adoption et d\u2019adaptation de l\u2019IA, moins document\u00e9s, mais significatifs, qui illustrent comment une approche de l\u2019IA centr\u00e9e sur les communaut\u00e9s peut soutenir l\u2019action climatique dans des contextes de crise, mais aussi d\u2019opportunit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous recherchons des cas qui:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>se situent en Am\u00e9rique latine, en Afrique et en Asie (en mettant l\u2019accent sur l\u2019Asie du Sud, du Sud-Est et du Sud-Ouest)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sont men\u00e9s par des parties prenantes communautaires tout au long du cycle de vie de l\u2019IA. Cela inclut une forme de participation significative \u00e0 la conception, au d\u00e9veloppement, au d\u00e9ploiement ou au d\u00e9mant\u00e8lement de l\u2019outil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>utilisent des outils ou des syst\u00e8mes d\u2019IA adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 des contextes culturels, sociaux et infrastructurels sp\u00e9cifiques. Cela inclut les outils d\u2019IA utilis\u00e9s dans des environnements o\u00f9 l\u2019acc\u00e8s au mat\u00e9riel, \u00e0 l\u2019infrastructure ou \u00e0 une connexion fiable est limit\u00e9 (par exemple, l\u2019IA frugale, le TinyML ou l\u2019IA \u00e0 petite \u00e9chelle, l\u2019IA low-tech ou en p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie, l\u2019informatique minimale ou tout autre concept similaire)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sont con\u00e7us ou mis en \u0153uvre pour contribuer \u00e0 l\u2019action climatique. Cela peut inclure, sans toutefois s\u2019y limiter, le suivi environnemental, les outils d\u2019adaptation au changement climatique, l\u2019\u00e9ducation au climat, les efforts de plaidoyer ou d\u2019autres approches visant \u00e0 relever les d\u00e9fis li\u00e9s au climat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Une fois les \u00e9tudes de cas identifi\u00e9es, nous m\u00e8nerons des entretiens approfondis avec des sp\u00e9cialistes, des d\u00e9veloppeurs ou d\u00e9veloppeuses et des sp\u00e9cialistes de la recherche, afin de comprendre non seulement les caract\u00e9ristiques des outils sur lequel leur choix s\u2019est port\u00e9, mais aussi les parcours, les relations et les n\u00e9gociations qui sous-tendent ces choix.
