Join our team! We’re hiring a Latin America Regional Manager and a Research Coordinator

Applications for these roles are now closed.

Technology is changing a lot about our society, including the way in which civil society can hold power to account, connect with each other and mobilise data to push for social justice. At The Engine Room, we work with civil society partners–from big humanitarian organisations to small activist collectives–to build their technical intuition and support them in making better judgements about the role tech and data can play in their work.

Does this sound like work you would like to be a part of? We’re opening applications for two roles: a Research Coordinator and a Latin America Regional Manager.

ABOUT THESE ROLES

  • The Latin America Regional Manager will support partners across Latin America to more strategically, effectively and responsibly use data and technology as part of our Regional Support team. They will manage our support partnerships in the region and build relationships with relevant communities, figuring out context-specific ways to support civil society in the region to incorporate tech and data in a way that strengthens their work.
  • The Research Coordinator will work with the Research and Learning team to support the design, implementation and evaluation of research projects. They will contribute to internal knowledge management as well, ensuring that learnings from the research team can be used across the organisation.

Both of these positions are on our core team, joining these wonderful colleagues. Our core team is distributed, meaning the Internet is our office. Applicants should have a solid internet connection and, as our work can require travel, they should be near enough to an airport that they can comfortably hop on a plane.

WHY WORK WITH US?

We put a lot of effort into creating a healthy, remote organisation, and we believe that caring about our team’s wellbeing is a political act. Our team members are curious, humble and supportive of each other. We are critical optimists about the role technology and data can have in the push for social justice.

At The Engine Room, we consider diversity to be a competency. We actively seek new perspectives, experiences and voices in our team and in our work. Our organisation prioritises empathy, respect, humility, flexibility, fun and a healthy work-life balance. We highly encourage individuals from all areas of the world, backgrounds, experiences and identities to apply.

READY TO APPLY?

The application deadline for all of these roles is 30 November. Applications must be received via the links that can be found on our jobs page. Submissions received via email will not be considered.
