We’re excited to announce a new partnership between the engine room and Transparency International’s People Engagement Programme! The engine room will work with PEP to provide support to 15 TI country offices that are applying innovative tactics in anti-corruption advocacy. We will be meeting with country offices to facilitate the design of their programs and to determine what technology and strategic support they would find the most useful in their projects.
We first met the PEP team at IACC in November, and are looking forward to working with them as they build out efficient and tactical ways of delivering resources to compelling projects in their network. TI surfaced many of the projects at a hackathon organized in the fall of 2012 called “Hacks Against Corruption.”
Initiatives include projects such as a platform for promoting quality health service providers with adequate legal and ethical standards, and a mechanism for feeding information from Ushahidi deployments to Transparency International Advocacy and Legal Advice Centres (ALACs).
This week and next we will be in Berlin for an engine room team summit, and we’re excited to get a chance to spend more time with the TI and TI-PEP teams. If you are in Berlin and want to catch up, we will be gathering for drinks on Monday the 4th – get in touch and we will send you an invitation!
