Join our next community call for a discussion about website security and how civil society organizations, human rights defenders and nonprofits can prepare, respond to and recover from website threats.
Civil society and nonprofit websites face a surge in cyberattacks, including Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), phishing, and ransomware, driven by financially motivated criminals, repressive governments, and foreign adversaries. According to a 2025 Cloudflare report, Between 1 May 2024 and 31 March 2025, Cloudflare blocked 108.9 billion cyber threats targeting journalists, civil society actors, and environmental activists among others.
With this surge and the current funding crisis affecting the human rights space, many organizations and high risk individuals remain at risk. It is critical to develop capacity to prepare and respond to these attacks. This upcoming community call is part of our effort to support at-risk organizations and individuals globally to enhance their digital resilience.
