Doreen is a digital security and resilience specialist working with civil society organisations, human rights defenders, independent media, and social justice movements facing digital threats. Her work focuses on making technology, tools, and resources more accessible, safe, and inclusive for communities operating in high-risk and resource-constrained environments.
She has previously worked with organisations including Access Now and Open Briefing, supporting digital security and resilience initiatives. Doreen is the co-founder of The Foursec, an online digital security awareness platform, and 54Digisec, which works with communities across East Africa to strengthen digital security practices and resilience.
At The Engine Room, Doreen supports partners and communities to strengthen their digital security and resilience through practical, context-driven approaches.
